Pooja Bhatt declines 'Bigg Boss 5' offer ???

Pooja Bhatt declines

'Bigg Boss 5' offer.

Bollywood actress-turned-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt says she was offered a place in the fifth season of sensational reality show Bigg Boss but she turned it down for its very concept.
"Was just offered the next BIGG BOSS. Living in a communal fish bowl out of choice is not quite my scene (sic)," Pooja posted on her Twitter page on Friday.
It is possible that Pooja took the decision following her brother Rahul's stint on the show last year.
Rahul, who came into the spotlight for his acquaintance with Pakistani-American terror convict David Coleman Headley, charged with scouting targets for the 26/11 Mumbai mayhem, raised quite a few eyebrows with his entry on the show. But he maintained a quiet demeanour, and mostly kept to himself. He was voted out in the fifth week of the show.
Pooja, daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, made her Bollywood debut in 1991 with Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, after which she featured in many films including Sadak, Sir, Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee, Chaahatand Zakhm.
She made her directorial debut with Paap in 2004, and continued remaining behind the camera for films like Holiday, Dhokha and Kajraare.
Bigg Boss, aired on Colors, is the Indian version of international reality show "Big Brother" where select few celebrities are locked up inside an isolated house, without any connection with the outside world. Their activities are captured by cameras 24X7.

Salman continues to influence Sonakshi

Salman continues to influence Sonakshi
Dabangg may have been the thing of the past but seems like Sonakshi is definitely not willing to forget what the film (and especially Salman Khan) did for her. Even though she has moved into a different zone for Joker, she hasn't been able to totally disassociate herself from Dabangg. This can be seen from not just her make up and costume but also accessories that are being carried forward from the 'Chulbul Pandey' territory.

"There are too many similarities to overlook actually", says a costume designer, "First came her 'ghaghra-choli' look that seemed to be picking on from where 'Munni' left in Dabangg. It was surprising since Sonakshi plays a US returned girl inJoker and still gets into the village costume. Chalo, woh bhi theek hai but what about these sunglasses that she is wearing for a scene? If you look closely, they are clearly inspired by Salman Khan's look in Dabangg."

Well, it doesn't even require a closer look actually to see the inspiration, as the design of Sonakshi's glasses is way too blatant to be ignored. While in Dabangg there were two blinking hearts that reflected on Salman's sunglasses during the song 'Tere Mast Mast Do Nain', in Joker Sonakshi seems to have taken the pun of 'mast mast nain' way too seriously. This time around her glasses by themselves are designed as hearts.

Shirish Kunder, writer-director of Joker, is actually nonchalant about the entire affair and doesn't deny any similarities. "It is there for all to see so why should I deny anything", he smiles, "When everyone on street out there is wearing and maintaining accessories in the same away as Salman did in Dabangg, I don't see anything wrong in my heroine falling in line as well."

He goes on to add, "Sonakshi felt these glasses were quite cute and when I was reminded of these creating a similar effect as that of blinking hearts in Salman's Dabangg jig, I didn't mind it at all. It's all about having fun. If that requires one to get inspired from something which is so popular, I am game for it."

Ragini MMS is a real life

story of Deepika ?

Ekta Kapoor's film Ragini MMS, has been creating a lot of buzz for its sensuous paranormal thriller story. Though the makers tried hard to hide the inspiration behind the story, it is finally revealed. Reportedly,Ragini MMS is a story based on a 22-year-old Delhi girl Deepika.

Mumbai Mirror reported about Deepika being the inspiration behind the film. Says the girl, “I don’t wish to reveal my surname. You can understand why. But yes, Ragini MMS is inspired by what happened to me one night when I went out with my boyfriend. I was 19 then.”

Deepika revealed that she was on her first night out with her boyfriend, to a friend's place. It was then when she felt some paranormal activity happening there. Revealing some and hiding a few, Deepika told that she met Ekta through a friend.
Ekta was thinking of making a film on real MMS scandal and Deepika was her subject for the film, who had faced it for real. “First I shared everything with my friend in Balaji, then I also spoke to Ekta,” confirmed Deepika, who later even signed a contract with Balaji.

While taking about her experiences, Deepika also expressed her concern about the content in Ragini MMS. “I don’t know why Ekta is not showing it to me. I am very stressed,” added the girl. The sources from the production house, assured that there are still 8 to 9 days left for the film's release. They will be showing Deepika the film sometime in the next week.

Meanwhile, Ragini MMS is facing a strong opposition from the commoners too, who charge the film of vulgarity. A few hoardings of the film were pulled in the city yesterday because of it's cheap and vulgar content.

Imran Khan, the new bad boy in B-town!

Imran Khan, the new bad boy in B-town!

Bollywood actor Imran Khan, known for his chocolate boy looks and romantic side, has shot for an extremely bold lovemaking scene for his forthcoming crime and sex comedy Delhi Belly. After this, many feel that the 28-year-old, who married his longtime girlfriend Avantika Malik in January, will be seen as the new bad boy in tinsel town.

"In previous movies, there there have been suggestions and gestures to show a newcomer girl going down on a man. However, never before this has been the case with a hero. Imran is doing the boldest scene ever," said a source close to the actor.

Releasing July 1, Delhi Belly has been produced by Aamir Khan, and features an ensemble cast including Kunal Roy Kapoor, Poorna Jagannathan, Vir Das and Shenaz Treasurywala. The film is about three friends living together in a bachelor's pad in the capital.

Director Abhinay Deo says the movie is definitely for the "urban class".

"Delhi Belly is in English, actually Hinglish - it is 80% in English and 20% in Hindi. It is primarily meant for the youth, or may I say for the young at heart who still have a sense of humour. It will be liked by people who don't mind accepting a few things about the urban society, and those who have a good sense of humour," Deo told IANS.

Abhishek acts funny with wife Aishwarya

Abhishek acts funny with wife Aishwarya.

You could say Abhishek Bachchan is acting funny with wife Aishwarya and that's because the couple are starring in their first comedy together called Ladies And Gentlemen.

"I was very keen to do a comedy after a spate of serious films and Aishwarya and I haven't done a comedy together, so I'm excited about this film," said Abhishek.

To be produced and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film is slated for a 2012 release and is set to go on the floors in the first week of July this year.

"It's a great script, very funny and Raj-jiis directing it. We've been very keen to work together for a long time. I'm very happy that we will be finally working together," he said.

In the film, Abhishek plays a guy with an insatiable roving eye and Aishwarya sportingly allows her husband to do so.

When asked to give more details, the 35-year-old said: "It wouldn't be correct to speak about the film at this juncture."

In the last two years, he has only worked in serious movies like Paa, Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey and Dum Maaro Dum.

Abhishek and Aishwarya, who tied the knot in 2007, teamed up for the first time on screen for the 2001 movie Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke. Three years later, Rohan Sippy roped them in for his directorial debut Kuch Naa Kaho and then J P Dutta made Umrao Jaan (2006) with the two. All these films didn't do well.

Their first big hit as a couple was Mani Ratnam's Guru (2007), followed by Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar Raj.

In Sanjay Gadhvi's hit action thriller Dhoom 2, they shared the screen, but not as a couple. Aishwarya also made a special appearance in the hit songKajrare in the Abhishek starrer Bunty Aur Babli.

They were last seen on screen in Raavan, which was declared a dud.

Abhishek, whose Game bombed at the box office recently, is elated with the positive response to Dum Maaro Dum.

"I haven't had the time to sit down and reflect on the film. But I think youth have really connected with it. I always said Rohan has always made very cool films. The script by Shridhar and an all-round great team performance I think has worked for the film," he added.

Dum Maaro Dum also starred Bipasha Basu, Prateik Babbar and Rana Daggubati among others.

Abhishek, who is currently shooting in Russia for Abbas-Mustan's Players, which again stars Bipasha, also came clean on allegations that he was not happy with the climax of Dum Maaro Dum and wanted to get it changed.

"Nothing like that. Rohan has always been kind enough to involve me in the entire creative process of his films. I had suggestions. Some he used and some he didn't. It's all part of the process of making a film," he said.

Aamir's plea to Bollywood stars : Real Star

Aamir's plea to Bollywood stars
: Real Star

What is actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan now busy with? He is urging the people and Bollywood celebrities to support community radio Jago Mumbai 90.8 in Bandra and says he is happy to back the endeavour because it will help the residents in knowing each other and in getting closer.
"When they were starting the radio channel, I helped them with funds. I would like to give my time to the radio channel as well. There are other celebrities who also helped in getting the funds. And whenever they would require funds, we would love to contribute," Aamir, 46, told reporters Sunday.
He was celebrating the first anniversary of the only community radio station run by the residents of Sea Hill Building in Bandra, where he also lives.
Aamir feels there won't be a lack of celebrity support as many known names from Bollywood like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, belong to the area.
"Bandra is such a place where the concentration of celebrity is the most. Me and Salman were born in Bandra and now Shah Rukh also stays here. Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir were also born here and so is Kareena.
"So the radio station shouldn't fall short of neither funds nor celebrities. I would say all of them should come and be part of the radio station. This is our radio station. We shouldn't come as celebrities, we should come as a Bandraites," added the actor who is known for his performances in films like Sarfarosh,Rang De Basanti and 3 Idiots.
The radio station's first anniversary co-incided with Maharashtra Day.
"Happy Maharashtra Day to all Maharashtrians. I think the community radio like Jago Mumbai is something we should have more and more of. When I was approached with the idea of community radio, I was happy that someone is thinking of it and I was happy to support it," said Aamir, who recently produced small budgets hits like Peepli Live and Dhobi Ghat.
He is confident that such endeavour can be a great platform for budding talent and can help grow a more close-knit society.
"Each area should have a community radio. India being such a big country, you will find talent in every corner of the country. But everyone can't make it to the national level. So such community radio can be a huge platform to start with.
"It also helps in knowing people of the community. I don't know everyone in this community, but can get to know through the radio station. Housewives would teach us new recipes, or seniors would tell us how Bandra was 50 years ago. When we listen to the radio or when people take initiative to contribute to the radio channel, the community becomes more close-knit. And that's how a healthy community is formed," said Aamir.
Jago Mumbai 90.8 radio station also has a presence in other areas of the city like Santacruz, Vile Parle, Lokhandwala, Irla, Khar and Juhu.

Akshay Kumar follows in the footsteps of Salman bhai ?

“Akshay Kumar” follows in the
footsteps of “Salman bhai” ?

It seems Salman Khan’s mool mantra has caught Bollywood bigwigs since Bhai’s Id release, ‘Wanted’ in 2009. And post the super success of ‘Dabangg’, Salman has become the undisputed idol for his contemporaries. Be it copying his moustache or the South Indian remakes of films that he dabbles into, the industry is certainly walking his way!

Buzz has it that Akshay Kumar, who is the next to work with Salman’s find Sonakshi in Shirish Kunder’s ‘Joker’ will be romancing the ‘Dabangg’ hottie once again in a film to be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. And apparently, the film will be directed by dancing sensation Prabhu Deva, who happens to be Salman’s favourite filmmaker.

Titled ‘Rowdy Rathore’, the flick will have all the masala of a typical Bollywood film. So Akshay Kumar is doing all what his contemporary and good friend Salman is doing.

So we may say
Akki is following in the footsteps of our very own Sallu mian.
