With chartbuster ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’ making it to the Guinness Book of World Records, producer Arbaaz Khan is raring to recreate the ‘Munni’ magic all over again.

After creating waves nationwide, the song sets benchmark for Arbaaz Khan to make an even bigger item number in ‘Dabangg 2’. And considering the fact that he will be donning the director’s cap for the first time ever, he is hell bent on creating a far more appealing number to add that extra bit of glitter to his venture.

Buzz has it that the metropolis of Mumbai will form the backdrop for the squeal instead of the rustic Uttar Pradesh set-up. The item number will have an urbane touch to it and will not have ‘Munni’ shaking her leg in a short lehenga and choli but will have a contemporary look.

Talking to a daily, a source said, "The popularity of ‘Munni’ worked wonders for ‘Dabangg’ and Arbaaz wants to recreate the same magic with the item song in ‘Dabangg 2’. He has roped in not one but five music composers to come up with their individual numbers. He will then hear all their versions and choose the best."
We know for sure that Salman Khan is ‘Dabangg’ in the literal sense but Arbaaz isn’t any less. After all he does follow in the foot-steps of his elder brother. So he will certainly make ‘Munni 2’ a bigger hit.

No designer wear, no jazzy clothes. Salman Khan has chosen to wear the same uniform that the employees of his personal bodyguard Shera's security agency wear, for his forthcoming film Bodyguard. A source close to the actor says that there were many agencies that were vying to get Salman to wear the uniform of their company and offered him upto Rs. 7 crore to endorse their brand, but the star refused.

Atul Agnihotri, producer of Bodyguard confirmed this, saying: "We have been getting calls from various security agencies from the day we announced the film. However, Salman, bhai is absolutely clear that he wouldn't wear any agency's uniform. Shera is his personal bodyguard he is close too and has used his name as a tag."

Bodyguard will his third film to be released during Eid (in August) after Wanted (2009) and Dabangg (2010).

Looks like Bollywood is going to have it's quota full of sibling clashes this year. Even as brother-sister 'jodi' of Tusshar and Ekta Kapoor are making light of their Love U... Mr. Kalakaar! and Ragini MMS clashing with each other on the May 13 weekend, another sibling clash is all set to have the tongues wagging. This is between the Saif Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan who would be taking on each other as their Aarakshan and Soundtrack clash with each other.

"Both films would release on August 12, the weekend that leads to Independence Day holiday of 15th August", sources said. "This way, Aarakshan as well as Soundtrack are looking at capitalising on the 4 day long weekend available to them."
One wonders though whether Saif and Soha are aware about the clash as the developments have been quite recent.
"Saif would be quite prepared for the August 12 release since Prakash Jha has been making quick progress with Aarakshan. In fact this is one of his fastest shoots till date. Since the film deals with the topical issue of reservation, it makes sense for the makers to release it around the Independence Day as it also makes a huge socio-political statement. They would certainly not want to let go off this date; more so because the film arrives after Jha's last big hit Raajneeti and audience is waiting with bated breath to see what next he has to offer", the source continues.
As for Soundtrack, the film's release announcement has come as a surprise since it was hardly in news and is yet to see a promotional campaign being put together. The film is an official remake of a Canadian film It's All Gone Pete Tong and features Soha as a deaf girl.
Soha said, "I can't imagine myself in a world where I can't hear anything. I converse so much with people in real life and to be put in a situation like this, it has been a challenge for me." The film stars Rajeev Khandelwal in the role of a DJ.
Obviously both films have altogether different theme, genre and scale which means that at the face value, it is not a clash that would be giving Saif any sleepless nights. Now whether he along with Soha too would laugh it all way just like Tusshar and Ekta would be known only closer to the film's release. However for those hunting for a spicy clash involving real life brother and sister, Aarakshan v/s Soundtrack would be good enough reason to raise an alarm.

On Friday evening, Kareena Kapoor drove down all the way from Pune to Mumbai for shooting her televised act for an award ceremony. What should have ended in a few hours took them forever, thanks to Priyanka Chopra.

Bebo finished with her make-up and hair and arrived on the stage to see that it was already occupied by Priyanka Chopra. She had to wait for four hours before she could actually shoot her performance.

A source present at the awards revealed, “Kareena landed at Yash Raj Studios around midnight; she found that the stage was occupied by Priyanka. She waited patiently for sometime. On spotting her, PC came down from the stage and told her that she could not give the stage until 1 am (although Kareena was assigned the stage at 12 am).”

PC continued to rehearse till 4 am, by that time, the exhausted Kareena had left for home.

The next morning, Kareena asked her manager Zahid to cancel the shooting (with Salman for Bodyguard), which was scheduled on Saturday in Pune and then came back to the studio to finish her song.

Normally, the fiery Bebo would have flared up because she was kept waiting for more than four hours. Although, she was smarting with humiliation, she maintained her cool. Later, she gave a call to the organizers and gave her piece.

They explained it to her that because of some technical problems, Priyanka’s act took a longer time.

PC’s spokesperson said, “Priyanka was not aware that Bebo had to wait for hours. Not that I am aware of. Priyanka had a long act with many changes.”

Bebo remained unavailable for comment.

Even the biggest of superstars at times do things uncanny to their personality to safeguard their interests. And it is Akshay Kumar’s time to do something that is quite difficult to digest. Buzz has it that the actor has negotiated his price to rejoin reality TV adventure show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 4’.

Talking to a tabloid, a source said, "Akshay was paid Rs 1.5 crore per episode for the first season which was upped in the second round. This time around, the price he quoted was too high and he refused to negotiate."

Akki, who had hosted the show’s first and second seasons, lost it out to Priyanka Chopra in the third season. Grapevine had it that Salman Khan was being considered by the channel to host the adventure show’s fourth season following the super success of ‘Bigg Boss’ season 4. Even Ajay Devgn was approached to host the show.

But, fearing he might lose the contract, Khiladi Kumar thought it was best to compromise on his price.

"Ajay was negotiating the price and terms of the contract, when the channel went and leaked it out to Akshay that they had approached Devgn. Akki immediately renegotiated his price and cut it down, so Devgn was left out while Akki came on board again."

Akshay, you are truly a Khiladi. You know how do get your work done. Very smart!

Pakistani fans who follow her Twitter account, pulled her up when she uploaded a morphed photo of an Indian batsman hitting their captain Shahid Afridi with a bat.

Calling the picture 'De Ghumaake', she expected her followers to be amused. But no sooner did the photo go viral, there were a string of abuses from across-the-border fans asking for the picture to be removed.

Sinha later issued an apology stating, "Pak fans very upset. Jung ke maidan mein ladne se toh accha hi hai khel ke maidan mein ladein! I am all for 'love thy neighbour'. Be a sport, yaar".

Salman Khan turns taxi driver

Superstar Salman Khan turned a taxi driver as he celebrated India's victory over Pakistan in the ICC World Cup semi-final late on Wednesday night.

Salman has earlier been seen promoting cycling and even escaping the crowd in an auto-rickshaw. But it was for the first time that he himself drove a taxi to avoid a crowd.

It was when people complained about loud music at Salman's match party in a Bandra pub that he decided to dodge the media and go home in the taxi. He however ended up giving the taxi driver a ride till he reached his home.

"Salman Khan wanted to drive the taxi. He said 'my first car was a Fiat'," the driver said.
Probably Salman took the strange mode of transport to prepare for his role in an action sequence in his upcoming film Ready, in which he will be seen riding a tuk-tuk (auto-rickshaw) in Thailand. So from bicycle to auto and now taxi, Salman has had a spin in almost everything!

The actress is ecstatic that her dream of sharing screen space with Amitabh Bachchan will finally come true, in PNC's next romantic film.
Mallika will surely make hissstory this year. After signing several Hollywood projects, the actress will finally realise her long-pending dream of acting with Amitabh Bachchan. Malliak, who was once content just with the idea of sharing screen space with Big B, is obviously ecstatic at being offered a script that will pair her opposite him.

Mallika's statement on a chat show, a few years ago, on being a huge fan of Amitabh Bachchan's, was talk of the town for very long. And she has harboured interests of working with Big B for the longest time now.
A source reveals, "Mallika is currently in the US and has been receiving a lot of Bollwood scripts. Many of them have interested her. But the one she is most excited about is PNC's script with Amitabh Bachchan. It is a love story where Mallika and Amitabh will be paired opposite each other. After bagging roles in Hollywood, Mallika's ultimate dream is to work with her favourite Indian superstar."
Hence, Mallika, who has been away from Bollywood for a very long time, will now return to the industry that gave her a break. And what an incentive for doing that!
She has apparently signed Inder Kumar's multistarrer Dhamaal 2 in the meantime. Though she is reading various different scripts at the moment, she has already liked the one with Amitabh Bachchan a lot."
Mallika says, "PNC has sent me the script and I have really liked it. I will be taking the narration once I am back in India end of this month."
When asked if Bachchan is the main reason for her to like the script so much, Mallika quips, "Who wouldn't want to work with the superstar and run with him on screen?"
If she is referring to running around trees, Bollywood style, Mallika obviously has no qualms in being paired romantically with Big B. Wonder what Mr Bachchan has to say about that?

With Priyanka Chopra being chosen as the guest of honour at the annual award function of the Tourism Ministry, speculations are rife as to whether this dusky beauty is about to replace ace actor, Aamir Khan, as the brand ambassador of Tourism India. For those who are confused we will elaborate. 

Actor Aamir Khan has long been the face behind many tourism advertisements promoting India as a favourite tourist destination, like Incredible India and especially 'Atithi Devo Bhava', and has reportedly worked for Tourism Ministry without any fee. But according to Delhi based media reports this year's award function, which is to be held at a five star hotel in New Delhi on Monday, will see Priyanka Chopra as its guest of honour. Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar will give away more than eighty awards in various areas of excellence in tourism.

Our sources add that Harinder Sikka, a big name in the Indian corporate world, and an avid golfer is said to be the man behind this development and so some are also speculating as to whether Tourism Ministry's Golf Tourism dream (much like Medical Tourism etc) is about to take off with Priyanka Chopra leading from the front as it's brand ambassador.

Now, we hear the actress is getting remuneration much higher than her current contemporaries like Sonam Kapoor. For her upcoming films, Sonakshi is charging a bomb that is only making her contemporaries green with envy. If reports are to be believed, the actress charges a fee in the upward range of Rs 2 crores per film now.

Says an industry insider, "Sonakshi has managed to maintain her steady rise post DABANGG. There are examples galore where heroines have just been a one film wonder. Though, Sonakshi might not be the ultimate talent among the new crop, but the sheer fact that her charm and film projects keep her regular company makes her the undisputed winner for the moment.

Shahid Kapoor not doing HEER RANJHA

Shahid Kapoor was loved by one and all in JAB WE MET. The 2007 film went to be one of the biggest hits of all time. While everyone was waiting with baited breath for his next romantic film, it was reported that Shahid Kapoor will be seen in Sajid Nadiadwala's, HEER RANJHA. It was also believed that Deepika Padukone will be staring in the film, which was to be directed by Sabir Khan.

Well, the film is not happening as of now.

A close hand revels, 'The script of RANJHA was not finalsised. Sajid and Shahid definitely want to work with each other and will do so in the future. But they are surely not working on HEER RANJHA.'

The source further adds, 'Shahid Kapoor is now working on Kunal Kohli's next. After that he plans to work on an action film.'

It seems our wait for Shahid's next romantic film just got longer.

THE HISTORY: Rakesh Roshan and Ajay have been wanting to work together for some time now. The director had approached Ajay during Karan Arjun but that didn't work out.

THE ROLE: An insider reveals that the role offered to Devgn is "an ultra cool, stylish persona with gray shades intelligent, edgy, witty, smart and evil something along the lines of the Joker's character in Batman series" and is "in complete contrast to anything he has done before."

WILL HE? WON'T HE? Roshan Jr (Hrithik) is also keen to have Ajay on board the superhero sequel. "AJ is giving it serious thought," says our source.

Apparently Ajay is quite keen to work with Rakesh and feels he is one of the best commercial directors today.
"It's a fabulous role and in films like this one and the Dhoom series, the grey roles get more buzz and interest than the hero's role. A few details are being worked out."
THE TWIST: Rakesh Roshan met Salman Khan in Bangkok last month when the actor was shooting for Ready. That said, the casting for the negative role in Krrish 2 might still be up in the air.

While the news had been in town about Vidya Balan being considered to play the female lead in Soham Shah’s ‘Satte Pe Satta’ remake, of late sources revealed that the actress has refused to do the movie.

It is said that Vidya didn’t want to do it since she felt the very good old essence of the classic film can’t be regenerated. Said sources, “She feels that 'Satte Pe Satta' should not be tampered with. That film is too iconic to be copied or revised." Hmmm, that’s a point, we say. But for now the remake’s team has a problem in finding an actress.

‘Satte Pe Satta’ remake features Sanjay Dutt, the lead part which was played by Amitabh Bachchan in original.

Now he is the talk of the town once again for his role in Reema Kagti’s up coming movie. The movie is supposed to be a thriller where Aamir is to play the role of a cop in the first half.
The second half of the movie gets interesting as Aamir appears in the role of a ghost. This is the first time the actor is going to play a spooky character. Earlier Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan had played the role of a ghost in the movies Bhoothnath, Paheli and Hello Brother respectively.
